We're getting married and cannot wait to celebrate with you!!

As many of you know, Brett and I both ran D2 Cross Country, Brett at Gannon and Claire at Mercyhurst. BIG rivals!! Following the annual Gannon/Mercyhurst Invite the GUXC team invited MUXC over for a party. Brett and a friend specifically invited Claire and her roommates. Being the introvert that she is, Claire laughed it off and thought "no way I'm going to that." Knowing this Claire joked, "what will you do if we show up?" Brett was quick to say, "if you come I'll put this on my face," and held up a Mercyhurst face tattoo. Claire really didn't want to go, but was talked into it by friends and was sure to bring along an extra MU tattoo just in case. Brett was quick to hold up his end of the bet, but not without making Claire put a Gannon Knight on her cheek too. Not too long after this, we were the only ones dancing and spinning each other around over and over like nobody else was around. Being senior year, neither of us thought a serious relationship was in the cards, but no matter how much Claire told herself and her roommates it wasn't going anywhere, she kept finding herself driving down the street to Gannon. So, in other words, it was most definitely going somewhere!! Before we knew it we went on our first dinner date in Erie, started dating, travelled through covid to see each other, and pursued a long distance relationship for 3 years until moving to Buffalo in January of 2023 and getting engaged in September. It all started unexpectedly and at a time neither of us were looking for a relationship, but we wouldn't ask for it any other way and are beyond excited to begin our forever!
