It all began one fateful day in October. Ansley had just moved to Orlando for a new job, but had spent the entire first month as an Orlando resident traveling for work. Her first full week that she was actually in town, she went to pick up some wine cases from the local wine distributor. Once she got inside the office though, she couldn’t find anyone to unlock the door that she needed to get into. Ansley started poking her head into a few offices, and behind door number three there was Brett. Neither Brett nor Ansley can agree on who was responsible for the forty-five minute conversation that followed, but it began with Ansley saying, “Hey, I heard you were cool and I just moved here and don’t have any friends. You should totally hang out with me.” Brett invited Ansley to a happy hour that Sunday, and then at happy hour Ansley invited herself over to watch the Walking Dead premiere that night. After that day, they were inseparable. They both remember feeling that they had known each other for their entire lives even though they had just met. Although circumstances put Ansley and Brett in different cities for a short time, they are now happily together in Nashville with their two dogs forever grateful for that fateful day in October.
