Brett and Angie met in the picturesque town of Muncie, Indiana in August 2014. Both were saxophones in the Pride of Mid-America, the marching band for Ball State University. They hit it off on the first day they met, and they’ve been having a blast being in each other’s company ever since! Their journey together has led them to become heavily involved in flat track roller derby (with Angie as a skater/official and Brett as a skating official), international travelers who “jump ship” at least once a year, and road trippers who love to take journeys with little or no agenda.

On leap day weekend 2020, they took a road trip to Teutopolis, Illinois in order to spend the weekend in a former wooden shoe making factory. It was in this most random of locations that Brett decided to ask Angie if she’d be interested in spending the rest of their lives together. Luckily for Brett, she emphatically agreed. Brett and Angie currently live in South Bend, Indiana with their cat Carl and are excited to see where life takes them next.
