We met while both working for a company called SmartBrief. On my first day he showed me the ropes and made me feel completely at ease, a feeling I've carried with me throughout our entire relationship! Over the next few months we developed a deep connection and friendship as we realized we shared a common love for adventure and great food. One day in the summer of 2019 we decided to stop pretending we were just friends and explore our next (greatest) adventure! We haven't looked back since.

A little over two years after we first visited the Brooklyn Heights Promenade on our first (official) date, Brett surprised me by asking me to meet him there. Shortly into our walk along the river, he pulled me aside to present a hand-painted box inscribed with lyrics to "our" song. When I opened the box, I saw a map with all of the significant places in both of our lives pinned and connected by a gold thread (a nod to my favorite lyric in another one of my favorite songs). Once I unwound the thread, the map popped up and displayed the ring of my dreams. I couldn't say yes fast enough! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
