Question

Where is Terrace del Norte?

Answer

Please refer to the venue map above—Terrace del Norte is the private outdoor venue space (located within the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village) where we will have the Welcome Party and Reception Dinner. To find the Terrace, first locate the staircase labeled by a red # symbol on the map. Take this staircase and turn left at the top. You've made it to the Terrace! For guests who require/prefer an elevator, there is one available opposite the staircase.

Question

Why Sedonda / Why Tlaquepaque?

Answer

Joe and I have been camping, day-tripping, and vacationing in Sedona for the past three years. There is something truly special about this town and we cannot wait to share it with you. Tlaquepaque is an architectural gem in the heart of Sedona designed to look and feel like an old-world Mexican trading village. The name itself, "Tlaquepaque," (pronounced tuh - la - kay - paw - kee) originates from the ancient Nahuatl language of the Aztecs meaning "the best of everything.” Joe & I spent an afternoon here the very first time we ever visited Sedona, and fell in love with the undeniable charm of this place!

Question

What are travel options to Sedona?

Answer

Sedona, Arizona is ~120 miles north of the PHX airport. Some options for getting there include: 1) Shuttle Bus via Gromme Transportation picks up directly from the PHX airport and drops off directly at your Sedona accommodations. Google "Groome Airport Shuttle" to book online 2) Rent a car— the drive to Sedona can take anywhere between 90-150 minutes depending on traffic 3) Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) directly from the PHX airport 4) Fly into Flagstaff Airport (FLG), the closest commercial airport to Sedona, or Sedona Airport (SDX)

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There are several free parking lots around the venue. The most ideal lots to park in for the Welcome Party/Reception Dinner are del Norte parking or Portal lane parking. See the venue map above for more details!

Question

How can I get around Sedona?

Answer

Our Welcome Party (Friday), Reception Dinner and After Party (Saturday), Farewell Brunch (Sunday), along with all recommended accommodations found on the "Lodging" tab are within a 10 minute walking distance of one another. Getting around Sedona otherwise is difficult/expensive without your own transportation, as Uber and Lyft tend to be low in supply. Several taxi options are available in Sedona if needed!

Question

What can I expect for weather?

Answer

We are asking you to come to the Arizona desert during one of our warmest times of the year. You can expect Sedona temperature highs to be in the 90s °F, and Phoenix temps to be +10-15 °F. Sedona weather should feel relatively comfortable given the low humidity. Stay hydrated (when you think you've had enough water, drink more) & look for shade, misters, and pools when spending time outdoors!
