If you know us, you know we love to dance, and this is the best place in Texas to go two-stepping! Brett is also convinced that Alyson was hitting on him at Kellogg's Texas Hoedown (she was) when she asked him to two-step. Alyson says that she just wanted to dance and he happened to be standing there.
^ see above. This is the Dallas version but with a bedazzled saddle and napkin throwing. (I wasn't just standing there. She came up to me and asked me to dance first.)
Come for the vibe and stay for the margs. You'll also get to see where Alyson's family celebrates any major or minor life event. (From birthdays to graduations to it finally being 5 pm.) You'll also be able to witness the location where Brett met Alyson's family for the first time and also where Brett asked for her parents' blessing to marry her. (All while Alyson panicked that his car was in a ditch somewhere since Find My Friends showed him on the side of the road in Waxahachie for 5 hours).
While you're at Billy Bob's, walk around the Stockyards. It's the first thing Alyson tells anyone to do when they go to Fort Worth. Watch a cow, pet a cow, ride a cow, eat a cow, live your best life (with a cow.)
If you're wanting breakfast, go visit Alyson's family's favorite local breakfast place. There are eggs, breakfast burritos, and bagels! (Which Brett and Alyson no longer consume outside of NYC now that they live there and therefore think they are better than everyone.)
Alyson and Brett have never done this but that doesn't mean you shouldn't! In Brett's words, "Go visit this historical site to see what happens when you want to shut down the CIA. Whoops, I mean to see where Lee Harvey Oswald fired off 3 perfect shots and a 'magic bullet' (CIA's own words, not mine) within 7 seconds."
Alyson and Brett both love this place when it isn't a bazillion degrees out. In 2019, you could find Brett hanging out here and enjoying the nature or find Alyson sitting on a beach towel in a sea of yoga mats trying to fake her way through a free yoga class.
Welcome to the home of the frozen margarita! Seriously, the family that owns this place invented the frozen margarita here in Dallas. We're not kidding. We know you're probably thinking, "wasn't the frozen margarita invented in Mexico?" No. Like all great things, it was invented in Texas. Go tell them Alyson and Brett sent you. They'll have no idea who we are, but it would be funny.
Awesome rooftop chill hangout bar and restaurant. Great vibes. The Greenville Ave. location is the best one... but the Trophy Club location is right next to the venue. So if you're staying near the venue, go here. But if you're staying east towards Dallas, go to the Greenville Ave location. Swing on by 1916 Euclid Ave if you want to see The Compound (Brett's old apt).
This is the best place in Dallas to go walk around and enjoy cute little shops and restaurants. It's also a "short walking distance" from Alyson's old house. (ie. 30 minute walk over some major streets, but that's how Alyson's roommate described it.)
The Christmas capitol of Texas! And it'll be December, so you should go. Brett and Alyson have also talked about wanting to live around there some day so go and give us your opinion! (If it's bad, we don't want to know. K thx.)
