In lieu of a more traditional wedding route, we have decided to elope just the two of us! While we can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family at a future date, we have chosen to make our wedding day adventurous and intimate. This just felt more us and we are thankful to have this opportunity in such a special place like Hawaii. We are so excited to have @colbyandjess and @nokaoimedia along for the day and to be able to share photos and video with you all after! In the meantime all we ask is that you celebrate us from wherever in the world that you are! We would really love to receive letters from you that we can read on our elopement day. Please send those to PO Box 980153, Park City, UT 84098. Also don't feel like you need to buy us anything! If you feel so inclined, we have set up a Future Home/Travel Fund that you can or cannot contribute to. Whatever you want! The biggest blessing will be some heartfelt words we can read together from our dear friends and family.
We first met floating the Weber River. (If you are ever in Park City, UT this is a must activity in the summer! You might just meet your future husband/wife ;) ) We always laugh when we tell this story because at that time Bret had really long hair and two days later came in for his interview at Hilton where I was working at the time and I didn't even recognize him because he had just shaved all his hair off! While I didn't remember him right away, you could say he left a lasting impression on me from that day forward. What started out as friendship turned into a wonderful future together!
We decided on a last minute trip to San Diego, CA in December of 2020 to get away from the stress of work. Little did I know, Bret had been thinking about and planning to propose! We took our new puppy Misha to Dog Beach the first day and Bret asked if I wanted to take a family photo. OF COURSE I DID. I didn't think anything of it, and as I chased Misha down, Bret asked a stranger on the beach to take our photo (and told him sorry to put you on the spot but I'm about to propose lol). The guy was brilliant and took a video instead so we can always remember the moment! I was so shocked my first answer was "Really!?" and then "OF COURSE!" Best day ever.
