It was 2018 and I was on the leadership team for the Student Orientation Staff (SOS) at UCA. I was helping conduct interviews and Brianna came to interview on March 12th. Neither one of us knew that our 5 minute chat in the hallway would lead to something more. Luckily for us, Brianna was chosen to be part of SOS. Over the course of that summer we became friends, capping off the summer with a jump into the UCA fountain! For our first date, we went to Pasta Grill and we both knew this was something special! Early on Brianna tried to come up with a couple name but we were torn between "Bret" and "Brianna." As it turned out, we couldn't really combine our names for this. Fortunately, we both received "ESFJ" as a personality test result and have since referred to ourselves as such. As we dated for the next two years we gained new interests and skills. I developed some delicious baking skills while Brianna was busy learning how to crochet! Brianna joined me as a very big Razorback baseball fan and learned all about the Omahogs. We discovered a new hobby together in watching disc golf and even went to watch some of our favorite players live on the Disc Golf Pro Tour! Over those two years of dating, the one place we frequented the most was the UCA fountain. We went there on walks through campus, for picnics, and we had a special bench we'd visit on prayer dates. This made it the perfect place for the big question! We had our good friends Aaron and Emily take graduation pictures for us on campus. We finished the photo shoot at the fountain and had the perfect setup as they captured the special moment for us. We are getting married at The Summit Church where we both are active members. Kyle Reno has played a big part in both of our spiritual lives and will be officiating the ceremony. We are looking forward to the big day and we are so grateful for all the love and support we have received from our family and friends! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
