How does a virtual ceremony work?

Question
Will we get to say hi after the ceremony?
Answer
We hope so! While we ask everyone to please stay muted during the ceremony, we hope to be able to connect with everyone briefly afterwards. We'll be having some cake and champagne and we encourage you to bring your own favorite beverage/snack for a post-ceremony toast! Unfortunately, we will need to sign off shortly after the ceremony in order to keep our appointment with our photographer and capture some memories of the day. Thank you so much for your understanding and know that we are so grateful to everyone who is able to be "there" with us.

What if I can't make it?
Answer
We completely and totally understand. We are sensitive to the fact that this event is on a work day, during work hours. We will be recording the ceremony through Zoom and are happy to share it with those who are unable to be there in real time. We have also hired a photographer for the day, and will share pictures when they become available.
Question
When will you be holding a larger wedding?
Answer
We absolutely can not wait to celebrate in person with you all and to hold the wedding that we were originally dreaming of. However, the most important thing to us is your health and safety. Because there is so much uncertainty at the moment, we are holding off on choosing a date for the big day, but we are so excited for whenever that day comes!

What should I wear?
Answer
Literally anything you want! On Zoom, there is no dress code. Put on your sweats, bring your pets and relax.

How will you two be celebrating the day?
Answer
Though this is not the wedding that we originally dreamed of, we are planning to make the day a celebration! We will be having a small stay-cation at a local hotel and having a fancy, socially-distanced celebratory dinner.
