Kris and I matched on Tinder in November 2021 we chatted briefly I then deleted the app. Then re-downloaded it almost a year later right before a trip to Disney World with my family. I found Kris in my matched list and figured I would message him. The whole trip we talked and made plans to hangout when I got back. However, when I returned I wasn't quite ready to start dating again. So, I bailed on him...Oops. That night a friend of mine invited me to a concert in Salt Lake. My roommates pushed me to get out of the house. So I agreed to go. At this time Kris had just started a new job at Flankers in Downtown SLC. He only worked there for two days after finding some red flags with his new employment. By some stroke of fate my concert was right next to Flankers. To avoid the line getting into the concert our group decided to grab a beer before going in. You could imagine the horror I felt walking in. I instantly sat down and started texting Kris explaining the series of event that unfolded for me to be out this weekend, after I bailed on him for "Personal Reasons''. The moment I hit send and looked up from my phone there he was bringing tater tots to my friend...what were my first words to him you ask? "I thought you were gonna be shorter". Regardless of my rude comment here we are today. The amount of minute details that had to go right for us to cross paths that day still boggles our minds. Little did we know some spontaneous simple decisions and a plate of tater tots would be the moment our lives changed forever.
