Our story actually began years ago in high school. Bree was a freshman and Ronald was a senior, and at one point we were even dance partners. Not long after that, Bree moved away and life took us in different directions. Years later, we unexpectedly crossed paths again. One night in 2014, Ronald spotted Bree walking across a parking lot outside a lounge and called out her name. After a quick conversation, Ronald got Bree’s number. Bree immediately told her friend, “That’s my new boo,” and from that moment on we’ve been together ever since. As the years went on, our love continued to grow and so did the life we were building together. Some of our most special moments have been becoming first-time parents to our beautiful daughter, purchasing our first home together, and even Ronald taking his first trip out of the country. When it came to saying “I love you,” Bree was the first to say it — and Ronald happily followed. When Ronald decided it was time to propose, he wanted it to be a moment Bree would never forget. With the help of both of our families, a plan was put together that would be full of love and surprise. On July 4th, 2025, we arrived at Ronald’s parents’ backyard thinking it would be a normal family holiday. As Bree walked toward the backyard she noticed rose petals along the ground but still didn’t realize what was happening. When she looked up and saw family and friends gathered, it finally hit her. Overcome with emotion, she immediately began to cry as Ronald got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, the answer was YES! Now we’re excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives together as we say “I Do” on October 10, 2026, surrounded by the people we love most.
