Brent asked Natalie on a first date to her favorite restaurant in the Quad Cities which is Filling Station. Once they got to the restaurant, Natalie immediately noticed that football was on the TVs. In the nerves of a first date Natalie spent most of the time talking about the football game instead of talking about each other. What Natalie found out a few months down the line, was that during the date Brent realized that she was the one. They ordered the Dr. Pepper, water, chicken cheddar sandwich with extra ranch and a crab Rangoon pizza. Can you guess who ordered what?
December 11, 2020. It started off like any other work day during the pandemic, Brent and Natalie were both working from home. Brent sent Natalie a message over google hangouts asking if she could look over a work document for him. Brent sent over an email to Natalie that said "I can’t wait any longer to make it as official as possible I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I love you, Natalie Jane Jones." Natalie immediately started to cry. She knew he was planning to propose but had no idea that Friday, December 11, 2020 was the day. Brent has always written Natalie letter expressing his feelings. This letter was themed like the "Bachelor" TV show. He wrote out important moments between the two of them that stood out to him throughout the years. As Natalie continued to read the letter, her eyes filled more and more with tears of excitement. She had only read a few paragraphs and then Brent came in. He got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. It was the perfect way to end 2020 and the most “them” proposal ever.
