Our ceremony will be limited to a few select family and friends due to State Park rules and limitations. However everybody is invited to the reception taking place just after the ceremony at a nearby location. Those invited to the ceremony will RSVP for the ceremony and the reception, while others will RSVP for the reception only. We ask that everyone please respect our wishes and park rules, as the park has the right to end our ceremony if the guest count exceeds our ceremony guest list.
Grass valley is about a 3-hour drive from the bay area and 1 hour from the Sacramento area. Otherwise, check with google maps. Do not use apple maps - you will get lost. Reception: There are sharp turns and gravel roads along the way. Follow signs to Lucchesi Vineyards and Winery.
Semi-formal garden attire. What the heck is garden attire? It's floral, sun-dressy, and bright with vintage flair. Think colorfully and be yourself. The most important thing is that you are there. Black is not forbidden. Spring is in the air - Check the weather to determine what is comfortable.
4:30pm: The reception will kick-off with a self-serve cocktail hour. Mingle and meet everyone we care about. Sign our guest book, play yard games, or contribute to a collaborative painting. Brent and Sierra will arrive after 4:30 to join in. 6:00 pm: Buffet style dinner
You may park anywhere once you arrive at Lucchesi Vineyards, but please do not block roadways in case of emergencies. Some will need to park along the side of the road. We encourage carpooling if possible. Walk to the house at the top of the hill once you arrive. Wedding ceremony parking will be on site. Parking will not be an issue for this limited attendance event.
It is important to us that the ceremony is intimate and private but we know it creates some challenges and discomfort. We thank you for understanding. Groups of mixed attendance can either arrive at the reception venue early to drop off those who aren't able to attend the ceremony, or can drop off some reception guests in downtown grass valley to check out the local shops, historic buildings, art, eateries, etc. Grass Valley Promenade is ideal for browsing, but there are lots of interesting things to do in town. We are sorry that this makes for a logistically uncomfortable situation. Please reach out to one of us for questions.
