Taking you back to freshmen year at Augustana University (College at the time). Little did Brent and Sara know that they both lived on the same floor in Bergsaker Hall. They worked at the same place and were in the same speech class together. (So they were destined to meet!) Brent swears that he noticed Sara right when she walked into class the first day (love at first sight?). On the other hand, Sara specifically remembers accidentally spilling hot tea all over her professor's computer. She rushed out to get paper towels to help clean it up! Later on, Sara saw Brent and thought he was cute, but never talked to him. Instead, she played hard to get. One time in particular- on a blistery winter day, Sara turned down a ride to the dorms. Instead she trudged through the snow just to see him pass her in his truck. A few months later, through a mutual friend, they started talking and Brent mustered up the courage to ask Sara on a date. They went to a movie together. On the drive home, Sara was worried that Brent didn't like her because he was driving fast (weaving through cars to get back quickly). Low and behold, that's just how Brent naturally drives. Thankfully, he still liked her! (Whew!) Sara continued her journey at AU to graduate with a Communication Disorders and Special Education degree. Brent decided to take his talents to Southeast Tech Institute to pursue Business and Entrepreneurship. Fast forward five years, in May of 2020, Sara graduated with her masters in Speech Language Pathology and soon will get to marry her best friend. No more 5+ hour treks to spend time on the weekends together! In their free time, Brent and Sara like to catch a new movie, cook new foods, daydream ideas, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
