We are a modern-day online dating success story meeting on Match.com in October of 2020 during the COVID-19 global pandemic. After communicating for a bit we decided to meet in person on October 28, 2020 at Whistle Britches in Plano, TX. At the end of the date, Brent and Kim shared an awkward hug and say goodbye. At home, Kim shared with her parents that she thought "there was potential". Brent was conflicted as this was his second date of the week with two different girls.

Brent messaged Kim letting her know that he had a wonderful first date with her but that he had gone on two dates that week and was going to try things with 'Girl A' to see how things went. A few days later, Brent went to a Halloween party with Girl A and the date did not go very well. So he and Girl A broke things off and the very next day, Brent spent over 45 minutes sweating on how to ask Kim to go out on a second date after essentially telling her that he didn't want a second date! After sending Kim the message, she saw it and started to reply (which Brent could see on his end). Before Kim could send the message, her Grandmother called and they proceeded to talk for a few hours, making Brent think that the second date was DEFINITELY not going to happen. Lo and behold, in the end, Kimberly DID respond to Brent saying that she would indeed go on a second date with Brent... and the rest is history!

Date 1: Whistle Britches Plano, Tx Date 2: Meet at Lockhart Smokehouse dinner in downtown Plano, Tx - the food was a little dry Date 3: Went to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Plano. Had great conversation as we didn't know we needed to sign in to get a reservation. Ended up waiting outside together for 30 mins. Date 4: Went to Top Golf in Dallas together and played Putt-Putt since the bays were all filled. Dinner at Fish City grill and ended the night with their first kiss! Date 5: Meet at the Rockwall Harbor for dinner at Gloria's. Kimberly ended up sick with food poisoning and spent most of the night in a public bathroom. Brent did not leave and got her water and stayed with her through the whole date. We did not kiss at the end of that date. Date 6: Spent the day together at Legacy Hall people watching, good food, and wonderful conversation. Date 7: First golf date at Woodbridge Golf Club. Kim had only been playing since June 2020 and Brent had 2 decades of experience. After warming up, Brent knew they were going to get along just fine and have a wonderful time together.
