We met at IUPUI. Kali was studying for her degree in dental hygiene and Brent was in the trades. Even though Brent did not attend IUPUI, we met through mutual friends on campus. We dated on and off throughout the college years but decided to take things serious in Kali’s junior year of school.

We were on a family trip in Gatlinburg Tennessee and Brent wanted to go out for a date night. When we got in the car he said he wanted to go to an overlook before dinner to take in some views. Years prior, we had been to an overlook on a motorcycle trip. In typical Brent fashion he decided to not look into the name of overlook or how far away it was until we were in the car on the way to dinner. Being in the mountains phone service was spotty at best. Neither of us had signal on our phones and the car was almost on empty. Kali was starting to get a little hangry and after hours of driving through the mountains lost, Brent picked a random overlook. We were taking in the mountain view when he popped the question. Luckily, we got enough phone service to make it to a gas station and dinner! We are so excited for you to join in this next chapter of our lives. See you in Tennessee!
