Our love story is truly one that only God himself could have written. Brent and I were set up by his sister Hollie and one of my friends Katie, and who would have thought that we would be here today, about to be married! He is the most amazing man of God and I’m so blessed to become his wife in just a few short months! Our first date was at Dave n’ Busters where we met, played some games and had a fancy plate of nachos. I’ll never forget when he told me that he didn’t drive his car because he was afraid it would scare me off. This man has worked so hard for all that he has and I’m so proud of him. He has made sacrifices so that he could get what he truly wants out of life. He is also a trooper because, for our second date he agreed to run the Seahawks 15k, which is a little over 7 miles, with me! I won the tickets on the radio and was hoping he would be up for it! It was one of the best days of my life. Neither one of us had trained and I’m pretty sure we were among the last to cross the finish line, but none the less we did it! Afterward we had lunch at the Rock and dessert at Top Pot Donuts. I mean we ran over 7 miles we deserved a treat! The third date was at Brent’s house where the community he lived in was holding a fishing tournament. Brent was so excited for me to come and fish with him! Mind you he did all the fishing, I just reeled in one fish and screamed for him to get it off the hook. We had a great time and spent the whole day together. We took a romantic walk in the rain and even had our first kiss! That was the day I knew he was the one.
Everyday since then has been a dream come true. Even with our crazy busy lives he still lets me know how much he loves me. I love that we have built a solid foundation on Christ and that no matter what trails our relationship endures we will be able to see them through. I cannot wait to tackle life with this guy and start our family! He’s is going to make one amazing dad and our children are going to be beyond blessed to have him as their father!
