Where is the wedding?
Answer
We're getting married at Dundas Castle in Scotland! The full address is: Dundas Castle, South Queensferry EH30 9SP, Scotland, United Kingdom Both the ceremony and reception will be at the same venue.

What airport should we fly into?
Answer
The closest airport is Edinburgh, Scotland. However, you may find it to be cheaper to fly into London Heathrow or Glasgow and take a train over to Edinburgh!

Where should I stay?
Answer
While we will not have a hotel block, with the proximity to downtown Edinburgh, there are plenty of great options for accommodation! Some of the local hotels can be found under the "Travel Accommodation" tab – or check out the surrounding area on Airbnb. There are limited cottages and converted stable apartments on site at Dundas Castle. If you are interested in staying here, please reach out to us (Bren or Liz) directly.

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes! Parking is available at the castle. However, there is Uber, Bolt, Gett and other car services in Edinburgh, so we highly recommend that if you plan to imbibe. Transportation will be provided to and from the Dakota Hotel if you are a guest there.

What is the attire?
Answer
Formal (suit / floor length dress) Kilts encouraged.

What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
During August, temperatures average at around 66 °F, though you can get lucky with a random heatwave. Overall, you can expect mild temperatures during Scotland's summer months.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Weather pending, the ceremony will be outdoor in the courtyard. The cocktail hour will be both indoor and outdoor. The reception will be indoor.

Who is invited to attend the rehearsal dinner and activities the day before?
Answer
Everyone! Please just make sure you RSVP and wear comfy clothes to partake in the highland games!

What if I can't make it?
Answer
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an age restricted event of 15 years old and older so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We will have a sitter on site to take care of your younger children so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Question
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Answer
Please RSVP by no later than June 1, 2024. You can do so online at our website - simply scan the QR code on your invitation to RSVP.
Question
Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?
Answer
Yes, we will have both vegetarian options for meals and desserts. Please let either the bride or groom know ahead of time to ensure we have enough plates set aside.

Can I take and post photos of the wedding on social media?
Answer
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #DoubleGtoDoubleE so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Out of respect for the ceremony and the hired professionals, we do ask that you do not have your cell phone out during the ceremony. Please wait until after the ceremony to take any pictures.
