FAQs

Question

Should I rent a car for the weekend?

Answer

If you plan to stay in San Francisco for the weekend, we recommend not renting a car. Driving and parking can be challenging, and many hotels only offer valet parking at outrageous rates. Public transportation and rideshare are easier and more affordable for getting around the city. If you plan to explore outside San Francisco, consider renting a car only for the days you’ll be leaving the city.

Question

If I do bring my car, where can I park?

Answer

While we recommend not bringing a car, those staying downtown should plan to park in a garage or at their hotel. If you’re staying outside of downtown, many neighborhoods offer free off‑street parking depending on the location. For questions, contact Marshall at 415‑672‑3343 or marsh.1994@gmail.com.

Question

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

Flying into SFO or OAK? The easiest way into the city is by BART or rideshare. Both airports have BART stations inside, and rideshare pickup zones are well marked.
