Ava stayed here with her Girl Scout troop one time, and took her senior pictures here. It is Michigan's oldest lighthouse and is widely known for being haunted! Only a five minute drive from the venue, it is definitely worth the trip!
Located in the old Port Huron Public Library building, this museum is home to hands-on exhibits and thousands of local historical archives. It gets its name from Andrew Carnegie, who paid for the initial construction of the building, starting in 1902.
The Huron Lightship was the last operating lightship on the Great Lakes, and served for over 50 years before finally retiring in 1970. It now sits as a National Historic Landmark along the bank of the St. Clair River.
Ever wanted to throw an axe while eating delicious BBQ? Well, look no further! This restaurant is right off the river, and is home to some of the best pulled pork, mac and cheese, & fruity drinks either of us have ever had. Bonus: this is where we decided which venue we were going to choose!
This restaurant is conveniently located in the DoubleTree by Hilton, the same building as our reception and room block! It is clean and reasonably priced, overlooking the St. Clair River.
We couldn't forget a good bowling alley! They are open until 10p.m. daily.
