You know when you meet someone new and they’re just so easy to talk to and joke with? That’s the connection I had with Collin when we met at a co-workers house party wwaaaayy back near the end of 2017. I mean, we actually met at work (Punch Bowl Social in Cleveland), but we hardly talked until that house party. We quickly became friends and bonded over our similarities. It was a fun time to be alive, soaking up what now feels like the end of our youth (you know, the finishing up school, before the adult world really takes over, era). After becoming bffs, we grew a deeper appreciation for each other and started dating March of 2018 :) - The Bride
On Saturday, February 13th, 2021, we celebrated Valentine's day a day early to give ourselves time to veg out all day Sunday. I had made reservations at The Refectory, a French restaurant, for a 5-course dinner. The meal was phenomenal, especially with the wine pairings during each course from our first ever sommelier. After the check was paid, I drove us downtown, to the Scioto River to reminisce over the years we've spent together. Sarah had no idea what was ahead. I got down on one knee after talking about how far we have come in our lives and the obstacles we have overcome together. She said yes!! Actually, she cried for a little bit and then said yes. This happened to be the same day Columbus lifted their COVID curfew and the bars were open until 2am again. So we hit the town to celebrate and get our drink on with some friends as a newly engaged couple. - The Groom
