What are the COVID-19 protocols in Puerto Rico?

Answer

The guidelines continue to change, but as of right now domestic travelers are required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR/antigen COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. International travelers must show a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours prior to arrival along with proof of vaccination. When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We understand that things are a bit uncertain right now, and that plans can change suddenly. RSVP as early as you're comfortable but no later than December 15th, 2021. Rest assured that we are staying on top of evolving COVID-19 safety measures. Check back on the website for any updates!

What's the weather like in Puerto Rico in February?

Answer

The weather should be in the 70's-80's. February is claimed as the best month weather-wise to visit the island! Note, our ceremony and reception venue are in the rainforest, so a passing sprinkle isn't uncommon. Our ceremony will take place at sunset as things begin to cool down and our entire reception will be outdoors.

Are there other events planned for the weekend?

Answer

Yes! For those of you who plan on being on the island by Thursday, Pat & Sam will be grabbing drinks at El San Juan Hotel (directly next door to The Royal Sonesta, where our room block is) Thursday around 8pm. Stop by to say hello! On Saturday, we'll be hosting a beach brunch @ 11:00 at a cool little beach bar close by called Drift. Come hungry and ready to keep the party going!

Is there a dress code?

For our ceremony and reception, we are asking our guests to get fancy! Black tie optional is the dress code.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We'd love for you to stay in our room block, but we also recommend any of the neighborhoods and hotels on the 'Travel' tab. When we visit Puerto Rico, we always find different AirBnb's to stay at and have had incredible, authentic experiences. If you'd like to really kick back & relax, opt for one of the hotels we listed. You can't go wrong!

The hotel says the room block is booked. Am I able to stay there?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any trouble booking a room in our room block. We will do our best to secure additional rooms if the block is fully reserved. We recommend making a reservation far in advance because it is a popular hotel and a holiday week!

How will I get to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception are onsite at our venue. We are providing transportation to and from our ceremony & reception. Transportation will depart from The Royal Sonesta hotel. There is also a parking lot at our venue if you choose to drive. Note: Cell reception is spotty at our venue, as you might expect it to be in the middle of the rainforest! We wouldn't recommend Ubering to our venue.

How can I get around Puerto Rico? Should I rent a car?

Answer

Uber is available throughout San Juan, they are quick and inexpensive. If you plan to check out sites outside of San Juan, it might be worth it to reserve a rental. Either way, you'll easily be able to get where you need to go!

While we love your little ones, our wedding festivities are adults-only events!

Is Puerto Rico actually on Island Time?

Answer

Yes. Puerto Rico also observes Atlantic Standard Time, which will be one hour ahead for our East Coast guests.
