Brennan and Aubrey met in December 2021. They met in Chicago at, of all things, an anime convention. They say every half has its whole, and it couldn’t be more true for this pair. Ever since the weekend they met, they would go on to drive 9 hours once a month from Iowa to Michigan (or vice versa), just to spend a weekend together. On Aubrey’s very first road trip to Iowa, she popped a tire 1 hour away from her final destination! Thankfully, the roadtrips didn’t have to continue after a year of dating. Brennan bought a house to live together in, and Aubrey, who is still head over heels, moved to Iowa. The rest is history! They’ve since adopted two additional black cats (Bentou, Sashimi, & Sushi) and have been enjoying spending time together at last.
