one of my favorite memories with bren is from a moment before we were in a relationship, but were going out on dates and hanging out all the time

it was night and we had found our way to the bluffs in redding, behind the fence so there was nothing between us and the ledge. we hadn't brought much in terms of warm clothes or blankets. we sat.

we must've been in the cold for hours but bren gave me his jacket (sharing is caring lol) we had gone to get food and ice cream before this, but now we just sat there talking, taking in the view

we simultaneously said so much, like we couldn't wait for the other to know us, and nothing at all. we talked about dreams and hopes - but mostly we enjoyed each others company and tried not to freeze

there was a moment when b asked if i was ready to go but every bit of me wanted to stay, so we did. the wind wasn't getting better. but b just sat next to me, no jacket, letting me enjoy the moment

it was so tender. i probably tell the story all funky and bren would say a million times how i was saying it wrong but it showed me his true heart (cheesy).

i knew then that i could trust him to be patient with me, to sit in the uncomfortable things and support me through it. he is such a sweet man. i am counting the days until i can be his wife : ' )
