Flight
For NYC & Philly guests, Newark International Airport is the hub for Air Portugal, where you can find affordable and direct flights to Porto. Air Portugal is part of the Star Alliance, so look for United Flights for most affordable flight options. You can also connect in Lisbon to Porto or take the train from Lisbon instead.
Train
It may be most cost effective to fly directly into Lisbon and take the train up to Braga. The train ride is about 3.5 hours long and tickets range from 25-30 Euros per person. To take the train from Lisbon, you would leave from either the Gare do Oriente station or the Santa Apolónia station. You would then arrive at the Braga station.
Travel Note
After you arrive in Porto, Braga is about a 30 minute Uber ride from the airport. The easiest way to get to Braga would be via an Uber or cab service. If you'd prefer to take the train, you would leave from either the Campanhã or São Bento station in Porto and arrive at the Braga station. The duration of the train is approximately 1 hour and costs between 5-15 Euros per person.
Hotel

House Or Rental
There are plenty of AirBnbs in the area, however, we recommend that if you decide to stay in an AirBnb that you consider renting a car as well. If you're staying in or near the center of Braga, you will be able to take the shuttle with the other wedding guests fairly easily. Note that outside of Braga is fairly rural and it can be difficult to get an Uber or other car service. Shuttles will NOT provided to and from the wedding venue from AirBnbs.
