We are conscientious about the risks of hosting a wedding during this uncertain and unprecedented time. However, we have implemented a few precautions throughout our venue to ensure fun and safety. We hope you are able to join us to celebrate! Below is a description of what to expect. Please check our website leading up to the wedding for updates. Venue: Our venue has 100% outdoor capacity that we plan to fully utilize for both the ceremony and reception. The three story Gadsden House has the capacity for a 300+ person event, and with our guest list topping out at 70 people, the venue has plenty of capacity to host our wedding safely. Guests will be free to utilize all three stories of the Gadsden House, the wrap around porches on each story, as well as the adjoining outdoor courtyards. There will be hand sanitizing stations scattered throughout the venue.
Ceremony: The ceremony will take place in an outdoor courtyard. Seats will be spaced out accordingly to accommodate guests and social distance practices. Reception: The reception will take place in the adjoining outdoor courtyard. Guests will be sat at 10 person capacity tables with only 6-8 guests per table to provide adequate space. We have attempted to seats guests with like parties. The dinner will be served station style, with guests receiving their food from masked and gloved station attendants. Bars: There will be two bars throughout the venue to minimize on lines and unnecessary contact. Masks: Masks will be available to anyone who does not have one, and we encourage guests to practice mask wearing at their level of comfort. Please be conscious of other guests mask usage and match their level of comfort when directly interacting with them. All vendors will wear masks.
Dance floor: The dance floor will also be in the outdoor courtyard, and will be at your own risk. There is no pressure for anyone to dance or come onto the dance floor if they are not comfortable. Vaccines/Testing: With the varying age levels and occupations there should be a number of our guests who have been COVID-19 vaccinated (YAY!). If practical, we encourage guests to be tested for COVID-19 prior to traveling and attending the wedding. Max and Brenna are both COVID-19 vaccinated.
We are registered with Zola, Crate and Barrel, and Target. You can shop our registry directly on this website under the "registry" tab. Please keep in mind we will be traveling back from the wedding and will not have room for many gifts.
Please let us know as soon as possible whether or not you will be able to attend our special day! The official RSVP Deadline is March 1st, 2021
There is street parking in front of the venue on East Bay Street, or else behind the venue on 33 Alexander Street there is a Charleston city parking lot and garage
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off. Use this as a perfect weekend get away just the two of you!
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
