It was just before closing time at a bar in Charleston, when a friend of a friend pulled Max into a conversation he was having with Brenna and her roommate. Brenna and Max started talking and quickly hit it off, chatting about Colorado and moving to South Carolina. As the lights turned on and everyone started to leave, Max asked for Brenna's number. The next day, he sent her a text saying "Hey, it's Max, that blonde guy you met at Warehouse last night." Their first date was on July 9, 2020, when they went out for tacos and margs at Publico. In the middle of their date, a double rainbow appeared outside the window, and they both felt it was a sign that something great was beginning. They became "official" a few weeks later and spent a lot of time cooking together in Brenna's apartment, going out to breweries or the farmers market in Columbia, eating sushi, golfing at Cobblestone, and getting to know each other's friends and family. After a year of dating, Brenna decided to move to Nashville for work and their relationship went "long-distance." Max went to OCS for the Navy and then moved to Pensacola, FL, to start flight school. For almost two years, they traveled back and forth between Nashville and Pensacola to visit each other. On April 21, 2023, Brenna was in Pensacola, and Max took her to a nature preserve along the water. He pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. She said yes! They spent the night celebrating with friends, and now they can't wait to celebrate their wedding day with you!
