Indeed. As health professionals, we have struggled a lot about how to be as safe and inclusive as possible. As case numbers decline and vaccination accessibility increases, we have decided not to make any changes in our guest list (hooray!). However, that means we will be inviting upwards of 200 friends & family. As such, if you decide to accept our invitation, we STRONGLY recommend that you receive your vaccine beforehand; If you choose not to get vaccinated we invite you to seriously consider if it would be appropriate to attend this large gathering for the safety of yourself and your community at home. The venue will continue to follow CDC guidelines, particularly around the handling of the food. Please know we will not be offended if you cannot make the ceremony out of health-related concerns. We are also happy to speak with each of you on an individual basis as we get closer to the date.
We have been impressed by Chanteclaire's proactive approach to keeping all guests safe from the spread of COVID-19. All food will now be handled in a buffet-style where only the servers will be handling flatware, serving utensils, etc. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. For the reception, the barn is large and can comfortably hold a large group without placing guests too close to each other. We will still recommend mask wearing when not eating. Please let us know if you have any other questions about this, as your health and safety is one of our top priorities.
We love children and we especially love YOUR children! Unfortunately, at this time, we are only able to accommodate children under 12 months of age, as well as children who are in the wedding party. We apologize for this inconvenience!
We're happy you're coming to celebrate with us! The Uber game around Deep Creek is pretty... sparse, per report. We will be offering a shuttle to and from the hotel we have partnered with, Wisp (See the Travel page for more info). If you are choosing to stay at an Airbn that is far from both Wisp and Chanteclaire, we would recommend a designated driver, as there will unlikely be any ride share options.
