In short... Dan was moving to Richmond. Brenna's friend (Chris) was also moving to Richmond. Dan's friend put out "feelers" for housing in Richmond on his behalf. Brenna answered, saying she had a friend (Chris) who was looking for a roommate, too. Dan moved into Chris' house. Brenna and Dan met at a bonfire night and became fast friends. Over the next several months, Brenna and Dan grew closer in their friendship, eventually confessing their feelings for each other... at different times. They got it right in the end.
