Dress Code

The Wedding Website of Brenna Burns and Cornelius Hayes
Colorful Black Tie Theme: Upstage the Bride (Yes, we mean it.) Think autumn opulence-rich jewel tones, dramatic silhouettes, lush fabrics, metallic accents. Emerald, marigold, plum, rust, ruby, copper... the more theatrical, the better. This is your permission slip to go bold, go bright, and go extra!
Question

Q: What does “Vibrant Black Tie” mean?

Answer

Think formal, but make it FUN. Gowns and tuxes (or suits) are encouraged—just with a bold, colorful twist! Rich jewel tones, bright pops of color, dramatic prints, or unexpected textures are all welcome.

Question

Q: Can I wear black?

Answer

We’re asking guests to step away from traditional black and neutrals for this one—go bold! This is your moment to shine (literally, sequins welcome).

Question

Q: Can I wear a tuxedo?

Answer

Yes! A classic tux is perfect—but feel free to add personality. A velvet jacket, colorful bow tie, or bold accessories are totally on theme.

Question

Q: What if I’m not into super bright colors?

Answer

Deep tones like emerald, sapphire, plum, or burgundy are a great way to keep it elegant while still embracing the “vibrant” vibe.

Question

Q: What does “Outstage the Bride” really mean?

Answer

It means we want you to look fabulous, feel confident, and dress to impress. This is not the wedding to play it safe—we’ll all be doing the most (and loving every second of it).
