Neither Casey or Brenna ever thought they'd find their person online. They matched on hinge on February 2nd 2023. Brenna likes to say she only had the app for 10 minutes and Casey was the first guy she matched with and did not X. She got the app as a joke with her friends and never thought she would ever actually find someone, but something in her could not let him go. Casey being at Butler, and Brenna at Ball State, during a busy spring semester, never got the chance to meet up in person. Although they hoped to meet up over the summer, Brenna being home in Chicago and Casey working in Tennessee with his friends, made it difficult. Casey had planned to study abroad fall semester in France so they knew they needed to meet before he left. There was only about a week of time where they were both in Indiana before he left for France. It was late August before they finally got the chance to meet in person. After talking on snapchat for 6 months, it was great to finally have an in person conversation! Casey went to France shortly after and the online communication continued for another 4 and a half months. They met up for New Years right after Casey returned from France and that is where their journey truly began. They have been inseparable ever since. February 2nd 2024, exactly a year after they first matched, they made it official. They had many adventures together. Although the hour distance between them was difficult, they knew it would not last forever and were grateful it was only an hour. They have had many fun trips and even got a little puppy, Layla. When they went to Disney in May 2024, Casey's first Disney trip, or his Disney initiation as Brenna likes to say! The photographer made them fake a proposal. In the beginning of May 2025, they both graduated and took a little graduation trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon, where Casey popped the question! Almost a year apart from the fake Disney proposal. They moved into their first apartment together at the end of May and both started their jobs over the summer. They are so beyond excited to go through the journey of life with each other and are so excited to share their special day with so many friends and family!
