FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 31, 2026! If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume you’re sending love from afar and won’t be joining us in person. Our vendors are sticklers for timelines, so unfortunately we won’t be able to accept any late responses. Thanks for understanding!

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Saturday, June 13, 2026 is the big day! Our ceremony will start at 4pm sharp, at the Lookout neighboring the Lodge at Suncadia Resort. Following the ceremony, shuttles will be provided to the Inn, where we are hosting cocktail hour and the reception. At the end of the evening, the shuttle will take people back to the Lodge where most guests will be staying or will have parked their cars!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please reference the below booking methods to make reservations. We have a two-night minimum stay requirement. If you would like to book for one night only, please go through Suncadia's standard booking site. To book online, please go to: https://tinyurl.com/suncadia26 To book direct with a Reservations Agent, please call the reservations department at 866-904-6300, Option 1, and reference the Group Name: "Johnston Schenck Wedding" or Group Number: "G-N18V" room block.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony kicks off right at 4:00 PM, so plan to arrive around 3:30 PM to get settled. Come mingle with some of our favorite people before the main event begins!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, everything—ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception—will be held outdoors! The ceremony spot tends to get a little breezy (hello, windswept glam), but there’ll be plenty of shade to keep you cool. Cocktail hour and the reception will be in sunnier spots, so sunglasses and layers are a great idea!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We want to see you at your best! Our dress code is semi-formal. For women, that includes cocktail dresses, midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or a stylish two-piece set. For men, think suits or dress pants with a button-down and jacket—ties are optional but always dashing! Since our wedding will be outdoors on gravel and grass, we recommend block heels, wedges, or flats to keep you comfy. And don’t forget your sunnies—cocktail hour will be sunny!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends, so we’re keeping things intimate and cozy. If you received a plus one, it will be listed on your invitation. We truly wish we could include everyone, but we appreciate your understanding as we keep things small!

Question

What about my kids?

Answer

We love your families, but we're keeping the celebration adults-only—that includes kids and teens of all ages. We hope you'll take this as an opportunity for a little getaway and enjoy a relaxing, fun-filled weekend with us!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We absolutely love that you want to capture this special moment—but we kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We’ve hired an amazing photo/video team to do just that, so you can be fully present (and in the moment with us!). Don’t worry—we’ll happily share all the beautiful photos afterward!
