we're getting married!

Brenen and Alexia met in the fall of 2023 at one of The Chapel’s college ministry Bible studies. Both of them genuinely had no interest in each other, and that was often confirmed by Brenen’s forgetfulness of Alexia’s name. By the spring of 2024, Brenen and Alexia continued to attend a Refuge Bible Study, and what started as a simple text led to a series of texts that, to this day, have never really stopped. After that text, Brenen and Alexia were inseparable. From February to April, Brenen and Alexia were best friends. They would often stay up until 2 a.m., having deep conversations about life and getting to know each other, and with that, love started to form. It took a hometown visit to Brenen's hometown, in Lafayette, for Brenen to see that Alexia was exactly what he dreamed of in a wife. And it took Alexia a few weeks later to realize that Brenen was exactly what she was looking for in a husband. A simple call followed, where Alexia asked, “Hey, do you like me?” and Brenen replied, “Um, do you like me?” That night, they confessed feelings for each other. Brenen then left for Indonesia, and during that time, they only spoke to each other for about an hour once a week for seven weeks. In that time, the distance drew them even closer together. Once Brenen arrived back from Indonesia, he asked Alexia to be his girlfriend in July of 2024. A year and some change later, in December 2025, Alexia and Brenen met once again in the very same location where he asked her to be his girlfriend—this time asking for her hand in marriage. This is the start of an everlasting, loving relationship, marked by their ability to be goofy together, share adventurous moments, and remain driven by their personal relationships with the Lord, as the two slowly but surely become one. Now, they are counting down the days until they officially tie the knot and get MARRIED!!!!
