Wildflower Trail, Jackson Hole Mountain (3.9 to top / moderate): Our favorite hike! Enjoy the sunshine and stunning views of the valley. Grab a drink at the top of the gondola and take it down, for free! Jenny Lake (7 miles / easy-moderate): A great intro to the park as you get beautiful views of both the lake and the Tetons. We recommend adding the ~2 miles to reach panoramic views from Inspiration Point. You can also opt to take the ferry one or both ways across the lake. Taggart Lake (4 miles / easy): A shorter option but one that still provides beautiful mountain views. Jump in the lake for a refreshing dip mid-hike. Delta Lake (7.5 miles / hard): For those looking for a challenge, this is a steeper trail (and rocky at parts) but with incredible views and an alpine lake at the top. Cascade Canyon / Lake Solitude (15 miles / hard): This trail takes you deep into the canyon at the base of the Tetons where moose and bear sightings are common.
For those extending their trip, we highly recommend a visit to Yellowstone. The south entrance to the park is roughly an hour and a half north of Jackson, but to get the full experience we’d suggest budgeting at least one full day.
Fly Fishing: We highly recommend Jackson Hole Fly Fishing School. White Water Rafting: Check out Dave Hansen. Horseback Riding: Mill Iron Ranch (closer to Jackson) or Little Jenny Ranch for the full cowboy experience :) Jackson Hole Tram or Gondola: Ride the aerial tram or gondola for stunning views and the best waffles at Corbet's Cabin (top of tram).
Persephone Bakery: Our favorite spot in town for breakfast or lunch offering pastries and sandwiches just off the town square. Cowboy Coffee Co: Locally roasted coffee on the square with additional options for smoothies and breakfast sandwiches. Picnic: Sister restaurant to Persephone, so tasty, our absolute favorite.
Snake River Grill: The locals favorite fine dining experience. Local Restaurant + Bar: A modern steakhouse and bar located in the heart of Jackson. Glorietta: A cozy Italian restaurant with homemade pastas just off the town square. Orsetto Italian Bar + Eatery: Tasty Italian restaurant with seasonal outdoor seating. Teton Thai: Located in teton vilage, the best thai food you'll find around.
Million Dollar Cowboy Bar: Jackson’s iconic bar on the town square with live music every night. Silver Dollar Bar: Western-themed bar inside the historic Wort Hotel in downtown Jackson. This is a more laid back option if you are looking to catch live music in town. Snake River Brewing: Local brewery with a full menu for lunch and dinner. A great place to gather with a group; we recommend grabbing seats on the lawn if it’s a nice day!
