Our story began in college in South Georgia, where a simple connection quickly turned into something special. One of our very first dates was a visit to Brendon’s family farm, where he showed Alyssa around and shared a glimpse of the place that means so much to him. It didn’t take long to realize this was the start of something lasting. For the next two years, we spent countless weekends driving four hours back and forth just to see each other while Alyssa finished her degree at Valdosta State University. Those long drives and short weekends together taught us patience, commitment, and how to make every moment count. After graduation, Brendon began his career as a firefighter with the Fannin County Fire Department, and Alyssa started pursuing her career as a speech-language pathologist. Being able to live closer to each other has been such a blessing—we’ve loved finally sharing everyday moments together. Our next chapter began when Brendon completely surprised Alyssa during her externship year in grad school. He showed up unexpectedly and took her on a trip to Kaya Vineyards, where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. (And yes—on the way there, he accidentally cracked his truck windshield, but nothing could take away from the excitement of the moment!) Surrounded by beautiful views, laughter, and a few happy tears, Alyssa said yes. Now, we’re so excited to be building our life together in Talking Rock, Georgia—a place that already feels like home. We are beyond thankful for the love and support of our family and friends who have been part of our journey and can’t wait to celebrate the start of forever with you! ❤️
