Maid of Honor
My little sister. I wasn’t happy when she was born but eventually, I decided having a partner in crime was better than being an only child. She is someone I can always count on no matter what the circumstance. We have so much in common from almost sharing a birthday, being college athletes and our love for playdough ice cream. Shana has played a big role behind the scenes of Brendon proposing and surprising me with a puppy.
Best Man
Dillon was a four-year roommate in college. Started in West Sealey Hall in Oxford Dorm, ended at 952 Greenwood. Connected by competition, from mario kart and football to boardgames and disc golf.
Bridesmaid
We met initially at UofM. I figured she was smarter than me. I intentionally sat next to her in our first class together so that she could help me pass and it worked! Then our paths crossed again when I got my first job at the same company and we have been inseparable ever since! Sarah and I love to workout together especially when we are rocking our twin bikinis. We have become so close over the past few years and always have so much fun together despite my dog always wanting to play with her cat that wants nothing to do with him.
Groomsman
Joe was a three-year roommate at Greenwood. He taught Brendon how to ski and talk to girls, how else do you think Brendon got so lucky?
Bridesmaid
We started our friendship as Louisville diving teammates. I first knew her as Dre but as we became closer she was Boobear to me. Dre was a very experienced tower diver and I aspired to be able to do the dives that she could do. Although she is shorter than me, I really looked up to her. Despite being 6 hours away when I transferred to Michigan our friendship lasted and became stronger.
Groomsman
Elliot was also a three-year college roommate at Greenwood. Elliot and Brendon went from fierce rivals and matured into fast friends. Elliot is the pop culture guy of the group.
Bridesmaid
I was a nervous freshman joining the high school diving team where I met Adrienne. She was a junior who took me under her wing. I looked to her like a big sister and mentor. Adrienne’s support and friendship was so valuable it made diving enjoyable and the relationship with her is one of the reasons that I pursued diving to the extent that I did. I was honored to be in her wedding and am honored to have her in mine.
Groomsman
Alex is an Honorary Greenwood Roommate, California Kid, some might say elusive and as always, he’s a wildcard.
Bridesmaid
I had just gotten my house in Ferndale and was looking to have a few girls live with me. Shana referred Kayla to me and all I knew was that she was a runner at Detroit Mercy. Who would of thought that after two years of living with her we would become so close. The biggest thing I can credit to Kayla is my new found interest in running. Before Kayla I was naseaous and couldn’t run far and now we are doing marathons together. In addition to running Kayla is the best dog babysitter and I even get worried at times that Finley (my dog) likes her better.
Groomsman
Mike was a Victory Lap roommate. Bonded over whiskey, videogames and music. Now over houses, pups and disc golf.
Bridesmaid
Erika and I were in the same friend group in high school and then rekindled our friendship when she was the first one to move into my Ferndale house. Erika always makes herself available at a moments notice to do whatever I ask her. This includes anything from our bachelorette nights to rollerblading across town to watching me in races. She is also the founding member of the Kenwood kuties group which includes me, shana and kayla.
Groomsman
Sam is the Jungest brother. His first name is Frederick but has always gone by Sam because Nick and I named him after our grandma’s cat. He has always tried to one up Brendon in competitions, from running to yards games. Long blond hair is his signature.
Bridesmaid
I met Nicole when I transferred to UofM and joined the diving team. Being a transfer herself, she took pity on me. She found me housing, helped me get acclimated and drove me to practices. It was scary in the winter months when she insisted she could drive with the windshield iced over because she “had the route memorized”. Nicole was a necessary addition to the bridal party as Brendon and I needed a doctor on call for any medical emergencies that may arrive.
Groomsman
Nick is the middle Junge brother. He is a former Marine and now lives in Marion, Indiana. While there hasn’t always been friendship, there has always been mutual respect.
Bridesmaid
My eldest cousin and someone I would choose to be friends with even if we weren’t related. Any significant other attempting to join the family is evaluated by Mareeca. Clearly she approved of the relationship as she is the one who helped Brendon plan the location and timing of the engagement. Mareeca also understands Brendon’s jokes, which is a skill that makes Brendon very happy.
Groomsman
David was college friend but he and Brendon’s friendship grew after college. He is a consistent golf buddy and supporter.
Bridesmaid
My first and only cousin to get married and start a family. It is amazing to see Alyssa as a mom and inspiring to me as I near my own wedding day and future. Alyssa has always been a great role model for me in the way that she matured and now is raising her kids. I stood up in Alyssa’s wedding and had a blast!
Groomsman
Erick is a Coworker and part of the COVID crew. Erick and Sarah were a big part of Allie and Brendon’s lives during quarantine. Lake days, workouts and strong drinks.
