Elmhurst IL is a very cute area with hotels, restaurants, parks, and more. Since this is the area we will be having the wedding, to avoid the busy city we suggest looking here for your stay (near Wilder Park). This area also has many airbnb listing to check out if wanting more space for a longer stay!

If you are staying for a longer duration or wish to visit other locations further I would suggest yes. Otherwise Ubering is easy enough for shorter distances within Elmhurst and there is train/bus options for those wishing to visit near the city but just requires more planning.

O’Hare Airport is only 20 min from Elmhurst give or take traffic!

Answer

It will be peak summer for Chicago so summer attire is smart. We will be outdoor for the ceremony but indoor for the rest of the evening/reception. So there will be AC. We ask for guest to be formal. As far as colors we advise staying away from any bright pastel or neon colors. As well as obviously white ;)
