Our story begins in the metropolis that is New York City where a boy from Australia met his Californian girl. It was April 2015 when Caroline and I met over pig parts and what was probably one too many beverages. We were both attending a whole suckling pig roast dinner organized by mutual friends and despite the fact that we had friends in common neither one of us knew of the other prior to this occasion. I don't think we expected to find our future partners across from that porcine feast but the stars aligned that night and I was introduced to the lovely Ms. Shanahan who would ultimately become my favorite person. As our friends departed I asked Caroline to join me for a drink. It was then that we discovered a number of things in common such as our large families, our interest in news and politics and our love of travelling. After having dropped Caroline off on the way home I realized I had failed to give her a kiss goodnight. I jumped out of that moving taxi to run after her and I have been running after her ever since. Four years worth of memories later and we have traveled and adventured together, we share an apartment and have become family. We are now looking forward to start writing the next part of our story.
