Ashley's Perspective: Our story is unique because we probably met each other for the first time about 15 years ago. Our brother's, Travis and Bryce, became friends in kindergarten, and we are sure our paths initially crossed around then. Our "second introduction" happened shortly after I moved home from an out of state job. Brenden had previously gone on vacation with my family and my mom had sent me a picture of everyone on a beach. I hadn't seen Brenden in years, but responded with "Brenden Behan grew up...and he is really cute". Brenden certainly did not waste anytime in getting to know me after my mom, not so discretely, shared my comment. After Travis went back to college, he continuously came over and we ended up going on our first date in October 2024. We clicked instantly. We share the same visions for our future, want a large, God-centered family, and I fully believe him to be an answer to countless prayers. We have been inseparable since and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life the world's most incredible man. Brenden's Perspective: For me, it started off when I went with the Aston family to Florida. I heard that Tara had taken a picture of all the fellas with a shark and sent it to Ashley. Tara later told me that Ashley responded back saying “wow Brenden Behan grew up and he’s really cute”. I never thought she would go for a guy like me. Her family and I made jokes about Ashley and I dating but at the time I laughed thinking it would never come true. Then I thought about it. If she loves Jesus, matches my values and beliefs, we share similar visions for our future, why not pursue her? And thats exactly what I did. And once she came home for good, I wasted no time. It was great for a month going over to see my close friend, Travis, while also seeing and talking to Ashley. We started playing pickleball and hanging out more. And after that month, Travis went off to school. I got to spend hours and hours seeing Ashley almost everyday - sharing so many memories and laughs, playing games, going on walks, and talking through phone and text. I officially asked her out on October 25th, 2024 and I knew from that day I was going to marry Ashley. We have since spent what feels like everyday together. She is an answer to hundreds and hundreds of prayers, she is my best friend, and a testament to God's faithfulness. I can’t wait to spend forever with my best friend!
