When people ask us how we met, we never really know what to say. We have known each other pretty much our whole life. We went to preschool at a tiny church in our hometown when we were four years old. While in middle school we dated for a little while, then got back together again when we went to college. We have been inseparable ever since!

Brenden was working in New York City for a couple weeks during the summer of 2019. Chris, Kelsy, Joslyn, Kegan, and I went to visit him for a couple days to tour the "Big Apple". We decided to visit the Belvedere Castle in Central Park. Little did I know, this would be the BEST day of my life. Once we got to the top, I was very eager to see the view, so I wasn't interested when he told me to stay close to him. I wanted to see the view very badly, but he kept pestering me to stay, so I eventually gave in and turned back. He pulled me to the back and got down on one knee and proposed! I immediately started crying. Then, he said "wait, there's one more surprise!" He turned me around to the other side of the castle and pointed me toward my mom, dad, and bubba who were hiding in the crowd. That moment is a difficult feeling to describe, but it was whirlwind of happiness that I will never forget. I think the best part, for me, was not only to get engaged on top of a castle, but for Brenden to include our families in that most special moment is something I will forever be grateful.
