Soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Pageant!

We met on a dating app called Bumble! I put my snapchat up on there and Brenden added me. We knew each other for 3 years before I finally agreed to meet him. Our first time seeing each other and hanging out was at Cowboy Jack’s. He picked me up in some dirty sweatpants and a t shirt not expecting to be hanging out with me. Brenden was at Cowboy’s initially just having some fries and a drink, when I was giving him crap for not inviting me to come hang out. Brenden came and picked me up at my apartment in Fargo and brought me all the way back to Cowboy’s.

I was in Gillette, Wyoming on a contract for travel surgical tech, I was due to be home around 4 pm that day. Brenden messaged me during that morning and told me I couldn’t come home before he got home because he had a doctor’s appointment. I said I would be home anyways and then he came out that he had a surprise, he wouldn’t tell me what it was. My entire drive home was full of anxiety, wondering what my surprise was gonna be. I called Brenden a few times on my 8.5 hour drive home trying to get him to tell me what this surprise was but he wouldn’t budge. He did mention that Bobby my tuxedo cat needed his neck looked at, because the cat wouldn’t hold still for him. He said before the surprise we have to look a the cats neck. I agreed. I get home and start petting on the cat immediately when I get home and pick him up to see what’s wrong with his neck and Brenden turns his collar over to have a engagement ring on his collar. In surprise and shock I told him “you’re ridiculous, get out of here.” and started walking away. To be pulled in and asked to be married to him. I said yes!
