We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met in 2013 at Cull Canyon's lifeguard shack at the beginning of what was going to be a busy summer. After Brendan was classically shy with Emily, asking for all the girls' numbers we worked with before finally asking for Emily's, he eventually got her number. We started to hang out endlessly, talk every day, and continue to surprise each other with little gifts at work. We spent the summer trying to not get sunburnt beyond repair, but we were doing it together. The summer was coming to an end, and Emily was going away to college on the east coast. Brendan asked Emily to be his girlfriend the last day before she left for Vermont. Way to not procrastinate Brendan…luckily she said yes, and the rest is history. Emily moved from Vermont back to California to go to school in Monterey while Brendan graduated college and went back to school to pursue a career in the fire service. We visited each other every weekend despite our busy schedules. We balanced our difficult classes and fire academy with weekends on the beach, hiking in Fort Ord with Emily’s new puppy Stella, and exploring the ins and outs of Monterey. Fast forward to Emily and Brendan both finishing school and securing jobs, we finally moved in together in Alameda. It was also incredibly convenient that there was a beach with beautiful sunsets for Brendan to propose to Emily…finally. She said yes about two weeks before COVID-19 took over our lives, but we wouldn't have wanted to be on lock down with anyone else. Thank you for being a part of our lives, and joining us to celebrate our big day.
