Our story begins over fifteen years ago when we met at Mansfield High School and were part of the same friend group. After college Brendan moved to an apartment in Dorchester with two of Stephanie’s best friends, Brittany and Erin. Stephanie would visit on the weekends and we started to get close during a Halloween party in 2019. Brendan was dressed as Tony Perkis from the Disney movie “Heavyweights” while Stephanie was dressed as an Angel. Brendan decided the best way to flirt was by kicking Stephanie in back of the legs. No one knows why, but for some reason Brendan's way of "flirting" worked and slowly we began dating. In February of 2020, Stephanie moved in to the first floor of the two family home that Brendan lived in. We were able to enjoy a month living “together” and officially started dating on 2/22/2020. As fate would have it, three weeks into our relationship COVID hit and the world would never be the same. We spent many days and nights stuck at home just happy to be together. The rest, as they say, is history.

The morning of the proposal, we were recovering from an amazing night with friends at a local concert. We had already planned a "Brendan and Stephanie Day" that would include a relaxing day at the beach and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Although the traffic was heavy and the beach was cloudy, we were just happy to be spending some quality time together. Once we were home, Brendan put on their favorite song and asked Stephanie to dance in the kitchen. After about a minute, Brendan was reaching for something in the cabinet and down on one knee asking Stephanie to marry him. Stephanie screamed "YES" and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in September!
