This love story begins in 2017 at Madison Central High School. Brendan had eyes for Sarah. Brendan would walk Sarah to class, holding her hand. Brendan asked the dashingly beautiful Sarah to be his girlfriend, but she declined. They kept in touch, but didn't talk much. Oh but this story doesn't end here... 6 years later Brendan was bored and wanted to go for a car ride, but he was lonely. He remembered that girl from high school that he never got a chance with. He sent a message to Sarah, asking if she would like to join him for a ride. She accepted his invitation. They drove around listening to music, then stopped at Buc-ee's to chat; talking for hours, and laughing until it hurt. They got along very well. Like the lost puzzle piece was found and fit exactly how it was meant to be.
I (Brendan) will start off with, she knew it was coming. I was planning this for a few weeks. I got a friend that we knew to take the photos for us. I wanted to paint at the lake, and just relax. That was set, now I had to get the ring. Finding a ring she liked was harder than I thought it would be. The stone she wanted was not a strong stone, so no one carried it. I resorted to her second favorite stone. I knew the design and look of it in my head. Just had to find it. When I saw the ring, I instantly knew it was the one. Now back to how it all went. We painted beside the lake. Honestly, I'm not good at painting, so I was just painting a weird flower I think. My idea was I would paint over it, "Will You Marry Me." You see, the problem is that she could see right through my canvas. I had no clue of this. We finished painting, and turned them around. I got on one knee, and popped the question. Her response, "Oh the ring is so pretty", and then "Yes!"
