A Forbidden Romance

03/24/2023

My sister, Theresa, decided she need a break from school, so she asked if she and her roommate Rosie could come over for some games. We had picked out SuperFight as our game of choice and we busied ourselves with it for a couple of hours. After a candid stopping point, Rosie had to excuse herself to the restroom. As she left the room, I looked somewhat slyly at my sister and said, "so she's cute." Somewhat enraged, Theresa cried out, "NO! NO! NO! Don't you dare!" I chuckled heartily and did not think much else about it. Two days later, after Theresa and I had a small conversation about Rosie, she sent over Rosie's contact info with the text, "do with this what you will." I sent over a text to Rosie saying, "so apparently T sent me your number." Rosie laughed and that was that. Or so I thought. Over the next week, we started to chat and hangout in groups a little more, became friendly acquaintances, and she decided to wear my cowboy hat every time she was over at my house for gatherings. On March 31st, during one of the aforementioned gatherings, she asked me to go to Christendom's Spring Formal with her. I was rather shocked and stumbled over my words whilst trying to remain calm in accepting her invitation (without much success I might add). From then, I became very smitten and began to ask her to join me in the Christendom Chapel for prayer and on walks. This went on for a few weeks and, during which time, had planned to ask on an official date at formal. However, to my surprise, one of her friends, Mon, sent a message to me inquiring, "so when are you going to hurry up and ask her out?" I won't lie to you, my heart sank and I was freaking out. I called my sister, Theresa, and asked her what I should do. At this point, my sister was rather upset with us because she was rather adamant that we did not date. In response, Theresa was clearly upset, but made sure she was giving me a logical and unbiased answer. So, a few days later on April 21st, I mustered up enough courage and asked Rosie out to our first date, and I nearly passed out. She accepted my invitation and we sat down to put together a puzzle and chat the night away. We had our first date on April 24th, the rest is history, and Theresa is now in overt support of us.

For all the days along the way
