The bride and groom met their freshman year of college in an on-campus ministry. They started as study buddies and good friends but that quickly turned into something deeper. The bride and groom bonded over their love of March Madness. The groom bet $10 that IU would win the national championship, so the bride took him up on that offer. IU lost the next week, so the groom used that to his advantage and asked the bride on a date. The rest was history. Their relationship started out as long distance which allowed them to seek the Lord and His guidance for their relationship. It was clear to both the bride and groom that the Lord was at the center and leading them to closer relationship with Him and each other. The bride and groom enjoyed their time going to Ball State games, geeking out over coffee, and playing skip-bo at their local Chilis. The groom knew it'd be a difficult feat to surprise the bride by asking her to marry him, but he pulled it off in the most special way. The bride and groom are looking forward to see how the good Shepard will continue to lead them in their marriage.
