(short drive) - Forestry Camp: Great vibes, great beer, good food - Rooftop Bars: The Radical, Montford rooftop bar, Soprano, Capella on 9 - Grove Park inn: Historic and iconic hotel. Grab a drink with a sweeping view of Asheville - 5 Walnut: wine bar with live music - Tiki Lounge: Hilarious vibes and strong mixed drinks - Antidote: Local cocktail distillery - Anoche: Best margarita in town

They do not take reservations, and wait times can get long. - Sunny Pointe Cafe: Grab brunch at an Asheville staple. Huevos Rancheros is Lainey's favorite, and the chicken and waffles is Brendan's favorite! - Curaté: James Beard Award winning Spanish tapas restaurant. The pimientos de piquillo rellenos and secreto ibérico are our favorites! - The Rankin Vault: Dive bar with award winning burger - Baby Bull: Casual concepts for burgers and lobster rolls - S & W Market: food court with multiple restaurants. Italian sandwich from Flour is a favorite, along with Buxton Hall's fried chicken sandwich - Ben's Tune up: late night bar with live music, only order the wonton nachos - Ukiah: Japanese tapas, our personal favorite restaurant currently (crispy shrimp) - Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack: Iconic southern fried chicken (tenders plate) - 12 Bones: Fan favorite BBQ of presidents and celebrities

-Black Balsam Knob: easy 3 mile out and back with gorgeous views, 1 hour from downtown - Bearwallow Mountian Trail (Hendersonville): intermediate 2 mile out and back, where we took our engagement photos! 35 minutes from downtown - North Carolina Arboretum: Mountain views, gardens, exhibits, hiking (cost for admission) 15 minutes from downtown - Blue Ridge Parkway: There are thousands of hikes along the parkway or you can just drive and stop at some of the many scenic overlooks along the way. You can access the parkway quickest by taking town mountain road north towards Craggy Gardens. You can also get on the Parkway, going south from the Brevard road access point going towards Devils Courthouse.
