We first met at a bar in Lincoln Park called Halligans. A mutual friend introduced us when grabbing one last drink to end Saturday— Kelly's good high school friend and Brendan's good friend from college in Minnesota. To break the ice, Kelly asked Brendan to grab a green tea shot, and he thought she meant a cup of tea. What was supposed to be just one last drink turned into staying out all night and going to an iconic dancing bar called The Hangge-Uppe. Brendan asked Kelly on a official first date the next day, and since then, we’ve always been together. Fast forward to now, we're living in Lincoln Park on Armitage (our favorite spot in all of Chicago) with our adopted, sassy cat, Louis. The rest is history!!

We drove from Chicago to northern Minnesota to go to one of our favorite places, Sugar Lake, Kelly’s lake house. Kelly’s sister, Erin and brother in law, Alex were already up there for the Fourth of July holiday. When we arrived, we played a quick round of golf and then everyone suggested we head down to the docks for a drink before dinner. Erin had made their Mom, Julie’s favorite red sangria recipe and Brendan and Kelly headed off to the lake first in the golf cart. Shortly after sitting down at the dock, Brendan stood up and then got down on one knee. Erin and Alex were hiding behind trees capturing the big moment and we all celebrated the rest of the night with amazing drinks and food back at the cabin followed by a sunset boat ride the following night. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you - it’s going to be a 10/10 day!!!
