Our Story
A dating app match that revealed a series of invisible strings...
It went something like this:
Bailey: "I also teach Irish Dance on the side!"
Brendan: "Wait... do you teach at Trinity?
My gym is in the same complex!"
That's right, Big Shoulders CrossFit and Trinity Irish Dance share an address.
Brendan opened BSCF in 2015, the same year Bailey started teaching at Trinity's Elmhurst studio. Brendan built BSCF in G5, Bailey taught the Jig in A5, and they'd unknowingly share a parking lot for the next 8 years.
The first dates consisted of bowling, pizza, Bananagrams, & all the hard hitting questions. Soon we were saying "I love you", along with our other favorite phrase that we utter when we're in disbelief of how happy & how lucky we are...
"What a life!"
Brendan proposed to Bailey privately at home on 6/7/2025 and planned the perfect day to kick off engaged life including a trip to the Art Institute, Chicago Blues Fest,
a fancy dinner and ending with a surprise engagement party!
