What is the dress code?
Answer
Wear your finest! That beaded gown you wore to your daughter's wedding? The bridesmaid dress you swore was rewearable but you've never done it? Those bold pants that haven't left the hanger since you bought them? The tuxedo shoes you've been meaning to repolish? That tie you think is too much for the office? Wear them! Please do your best to not purchase anything new to wear for this event. Raid your sister's closet, borrow from a friend, rewear items you already own. Ashley and Brendan will be wearing their wedding clothes. Whatever you wear, we are just happy you are here!

What is an everything party?
Answer
We have had several previous events we wanted to celebrate with you but, for one reason or another, couldn't. There are now several huge life events coming up, and we are seizing the opportunity to celebrate! New milestones: moving to Sasebo, 5 year anniversary, vow renewal, Ashley's residency graduation Past milestones: our wedding, purchasing our first home, Ashley acceptance to and graduation from medical school, Brendan's work on the COVID pandemic response, and Brendan's first book release. Everything we've accomplished and how much we've grown could have only happened with the support of our family, friends, and mentors. We thank each and every one of you for being there for us.

What do I do about a gift?
Answer
Please do not give a gift. Your well-wishes are all that we ask! We're about to move to another continent, we don't need more stuff to lug over 5,000 miles away. It's not that we're not grateful, anything but, it just isn't practical. That said, if dark forces compel you to give us a gift anyways, we provided a few options below to assuage the voices in your heads. There's a Venmo account if you'd like to contribute to our travels back stateside, and a spot for you to donate to our favorite charity. For those of you who have already generously given us a wedding gift, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

What happened with your wedding ceremony and reception?
Answer
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our venue canceled all 2021 event dates. We chose to get married anyway! Just differently than originally planned. It was a lovely intimate ceremony and reception with only immediate family and heads of the Wedding Party in attendance. We loved our special day and are happy to be living our lives married. Planning a reception for Summer 2022 became an impossible task due the nature of Ashley's medical school schedule at this time. She was auditioning for residencies, interview offers came in at unpredictable times, and board exam dates were only made available so many months in advance. Therefore, there was no reception that summer. We hope you received the cards we sent in celebration of our first anniversary.

What if I have dietary concerns?

Contact Brendan or Ashley (numbers above) and we'll do what we can for you. The venue can make menu adjustments until a few weeks before the event.
Question
What food and drink will be served at the party?
Answer
We will be providing a celebratory beverage and appetizers for all guests. Additional food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar on the first floor of the venue. The final menu is TBD and will be posted here when available. We do recommend eating a full meal before the event, or grabbing a bite between the reception at the beach and when party venue doors open at 6pm. Green Cheek has a tasty menu and is the location of the party. Local Tap House up the road is also quite good. The Taco Stand's grilled fish tacos are insane. Tanner's Burgers has the best burger either of us have ever had without exaggeration. Diego's Mexican Food is our go to spot for greasy Mexican food.
